It alarms on high temperature, rapid temperature rise and accumulated carbon monoxide, sounds an in-built siren at 85 dB at a distance of 3 meters, and reports to the hub over Jeweller at up to 1,700 m in an open space.

What does the Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/CO) detect?
Heat and carbon monoxide. It alarms at temperatures above 64°C, when the temperature rises more than 10°C in 1 minute or less, and when the accumulated dose of CO is exceeded.
Can the batteries in the FireProtect 2 SB be replaced?
No. It uses 2 non-replaceable lithium batteries with 10 years of battery life. The sensor life is also 10 years, after which the detector must be replaced with a new one.
How far from the hub can the detector be installed?
The radio communication range is up to 1,700 m between the detector and a hub (or radio signal range extender) in an open space.
Do other fire detectors sound when one detects a threat?
Yes. The hub initiates an interconnected alarm within 20 seconds. With fallback interconnection (firmware version 5.59.2 or later), the detector also alerts other detectors directly and all connected detectors activate the buzzer within a minute.
How loud is the built-in siren?
The in-built siren has a volume of 85 dB at a distance of 3 meters.
