Ajax Security Systems

Ajax builds intruder alarm, fire and home automation systems around its own hubs, and this page lists the Ajax devices we carry. Devices connect to an Ajax hub either over Jeweller radio or on Fibra wired lines, and are set up in the Ajax app. The range takes in hubs, motion, door and glass-break detectors, sirens, keypads and tags, fire and CO detectors, IP cameras and NVRs, LightSwitch controls, WaterStop valves and SmartBracket mounts.

Choosing Ajax Security Systems

Start with the hub, because it sets how many devices a system can take and how it reports an alarm.

Hubs

The Hub 2 Plus 22925.40.WH1 reports over Ethernet, Wi-Fi and two SIM cards with automatic failover, takes up to 200 wireless devices and supports MotionCam photo verification. For vacant properties and building sites without mains, the battery-powered Hub BP 93601.263.WH1 takes up to 100 devices. The EN54 Fire Hub 125733.315.BL is an EN54-certified wireless fire alarm panel with a 10.1in touchscreen.

Jeweller radio or Fibra wiring

Jeweller is Ajax’s encrypted two-way radio; the KeyPad TouchScreen, for example, lists an open-space range of about 1,700 m. Fibra is the wired option where a cable run is preferred: the Superior MotionProtect G3 Fibra is a Grade 3 PIR detector with anti-masking, and the LineSplit Fibra turns one Fibra line into four, with a line able to run for 2,000 m on U/UTP Cat.5 cable.

Detectors and sirens

MotionCam detectors carry a camera so an alarm can be checked from photos: the MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) 36662.121.WH1 is rated IP56, detects movement to 15 m and can take photos on demand. The GlassProtect U 130351.05.WH1 listens for breaking glass up to 9 m away. The StreetSiren Fibra 44412.07.WH1 sounds at 85-113 dB behind an LED frame and is rated IP54 for outdoor mounting.

Fire, automation and video

The FireProtect 2 SB 106783.150.WH1 pairs a dual-spectrum optical smoke chamber with heat detection, and its sealed battery is sized for about 10 years. Automation devices include the Socket Type G smart plug with energy monitoring, SoloButton touch panels for LightSwitch, and WaterStop valves that can close automatically when a leak detector triggers. For video, the 160673.122.BL1 is a 32-channel AI-powered NVR with two hot-swappable HDDs.

What is the difference between Ajax Jeweller and Fibra devices?

Jeweller devices are wireless and talk to the hub over Ajax’s encrypted two-way radio, while Fibra devices are wired to the hub on a Fibra line. Jeweller suits homes and sites where cabling is awkward, and the EN54 FireProtect Sounder 118602.278.WH1 lists up to 1,700 m in open space. Fibra suits new builds and commercial sites: the Superior KeyPad Outdoor Fibra is a Grade 3 wired keypad.

What is Ajax photo verification?

Photo verification means a MotionCam detector takes a short series of photos when it triggers, so the alarm can be checked in the app before anyone responds. The MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) 36662.121.WH1 sends 1–5 photos per alarm and can also take a photo on demand. It needs a hub that supports it, such as the Hub 2 Plus or the Hub BP, which sends photos over Ajax’s Wings radio.

Is there an Ajax hub for a site with no mains power?

Yes, the Hub BP 93601.263.WH1 is battery powered for vacant buildings, temporary offices and construction sites without mains, and takes up to 100 wireless devices and 50 users. It reports over two micro-SIM slots with automatic switching and has external SMA antenna connectors for better reception. The Internal Battery NB 121874.313.NC is a 7.2 V 95 Ah battery for the Hub BP.

Can Ajax be used for a commercial fire alarm system?

Yes, the EN54 Fire Hub 125733.315.BL and the EN54 FireProtect devices are made for professional fire alarm installations. The Fire Hub is the control and indicating equipment, with a 10.1in touchscreen and support for 200 Ajax devices and 40 fire zones. EN54 FireProtect smoke and heat detectors, sounders and the EN54 FireProtect (VAD) visual alarm connect to it wirelessly over Jeweller, and each runs on CR123A batteries.
