Texecom Products

Texecom products here cover a whole intruder alarm system: Premier Elite and Veritas control panels, LCD keypads, Capture and Impaq detectors, Ricochet wireless devices, communicators and speech diallers, and Odyssey external sounders with their covers and dummy boxes. There are also Exodus smoke and heat detectors, such as the AGB-0001 for 12V security panels, plus the brackets, PCBs and expansion parts used to extend or repair an existing Texecom system.

Choosing Texecom Products

Start with the control panel, because the keypads, expanders, communicators and wireless devices are chosen to suit it.

Control panels

The CAD-0001 Premier Elite 168 has 8 zones, expandable to 168, with 16 areas and 200 user codes, and is rated PD6662:2010 Grade 3 Class II. The CAE-0001 is a Premier Elite 640 zone Grade 3 panel with 64 areas, and Premier Elite panels share the same programming platform and peripheral devices. The CFE-0001 Veritas Excel has 8 programmable zones and accepts up to 6 remote keypads. For a wire-free system, the GEW-0001 Ricochet panel has 32 on-board wireless zones, expandable to 64.

Detectors

Capture ceiling detectors such as the AKF-0006 Capture CQ give 360° coverage to 9.3m from a quad element pyro and meet EN50131-2-2 Grade 2, and the GDD-0006 Capture CQ-W is a Ricochet wireless model. On the perimeter, the AEL-0001 Impaq S G3 is a Grade 3 wired shock sensor with VIBER accelerometer technology, and the AEC-0001 Impaq glass break detector has a 9m maximum range and a 170˚ detection angle.

Keypads and communicators

The DBD-0200 keypad has a 32 character blue LCD screen and a built in piezo sounder. The GCC-0001 Ricochet Smart Key arms, part arms and disarms remotely and carries an integral RFID proximity tag. To send alarms off site, the CEG-0001 ComGSM gives GPRS alarm reporting and GSM text messaging, and SmartCom Pro modules such as the CEQ-0001 provide dual 4G paths.

Frequently asked questions

What is Texecom Ricochet?

Ricochet is the wireless mesh technology used by Texecom wire-free panels, detectors, keypads and sounders. The GEW-0001 Ricochet panel has 32 on-board wireless zones, the GBN-0001 OH-W fire detector uses Ricochet to communicate with other devices in the Texecom system, and the GBS-0001 Odyssey 4-W is a Ricochet sounder backplate. The GEC-0002 expansion pack is not compatible with the SmartKey, DualTechs or wireless sounders.

Which Texecom panel suits a larger building?

A larger Premier Elite panel with more zones and areas. The CAD-0001 Premier Elite 168 has 8 zones, expandable to 168, with 16 areas and 200 user codes, and the CAE-0001 is a 640 zone Grade 3 panel with 64 areas. The CAD-0001 and CAE-0001 take plug-on Digimodems, and Premier Elite panels share the same programming platform and peripherals, so keypads and devices carry across.

Can a Texecom alarm call or text my phone?

Yes, with a dialler or communicator. The CGA-0001 Speech Dialler sends alarm information to up to 8 contacts on standard or mobile numbers, and the CGC-0001 adds up to 4 text messages of up to 32 characters. The CEG-0001 ComGSM gives GPRS alarm reporting and GSM text messaging on Premier and Premier Elite panels.

Does Texecom make smoke detectors for alarm panels?

Yes, in wired and wireless versions. The AGB-0001 Exodus optical smoke detector runs on 12V/4-wire with an alarm relay and is EN54-7 compliant, and the AGB-0003 is an Exodus heat detector. The GBN-0001 Premier Elite OH-W is a wireless optical and heat detector on Ricochet, with an 85dB(A) sounder and a 1.5 year battery life.
