TV & Satellite Sockets & Connectors

TV and satellite sockets finish an aerial or dish cable neatly at the wall. Every product on this page is a Knightsbridge wiring accessory: coaxial TV outlets, F-type SAT outlets, isolated TV and SAT outlets for communal systems, screened diplex outlets for TV and FM/DAB, and euro modules for TV, satellite, diplexed, triplexed and quadplexed feeds, plus a floor plate and a combination plate that take them.

Choosing TV & Satellite Sockets & Connectors

Decide which signals reach the wall point, then choose a single outlet, a combined outlet or modules for a modular plate.

Coaxial TV outlets

A TV outlet takes the aerial coax on one socket. Plates come in finishes such as matt black (CL010MB), antique brass (CS010AB), gunmetal (FP0100GM), pearl (FP0100PL) and smoked bronze (SF0100SB), with flat plate, rounded edge, square edge and screwless designs. The CU0120 is an isolated white outlet with a 7mm profile and screw cap covers, and the SN0100 comes in packs of 10.

Satellite and isolated outlets

SAT outlets such as the FP0150PB have an F-type connection and are non-isolated for a two-way satellite signal. Isolated TV and SAT outlets such as the SF0140MB combine one coaxial and one F-type socket for communal dish and aerial installations, where the outlet blocks interference from neighbouring units.

Diplex outlets and euro modules

The FP0160PL is a screened diplex outlet for TV and FM/DAB in 201 stainless steel with a pearl finish, and it needs a 35mm mounting box. For modular plates, the NETDITVWH diplexed, NETTRIWH triplexed and NETQDWH quadplexed modules measure 50 x 50mm, while single modules such as the NETTVSWH and NETSATSWH are 25 x 50mm.

Screened modules and combination plates

The screened NET modules are fully screened to EN 50083-2 and take cables with a 1mm conductor, with a minimum mounting depth of 35mm. The SFR298AT combination plate pairs two double sockets with space for up to 8 euro module inserts, so power and TV can share one position.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an isolated and a non-isolated TV socket?

An isolated outlet blocks interference from neighbouring units on a shared aerial or dish, while a non-isolated outlet is a standard direct connection. The FP0140BC and SF0140MB are isolated TV and SAT outlets for communal dish and aerial installations. Non-isolated outlets such as the SF0100MW are for standard TV and coax connections.

What do diplexed, triplexed and quadplexed outlets do?

They give separate sockets for the TV, radio and satellite services carried to one outlet. A diplexed module such as the NETDITVBK gives TV and FM/DAB, the triplexed NETTRIBK adds SAT, and the quadplexed NETQDBK gives SAT1, SAT2, TV and FM DAB for Sky and Sky+ applications. The three modules measure 50 x 50mm.

How deep a back box does a TV or satellite outlet need?

Single outlets such as the CL010PC, FP0100PB and SF0100PC need a minimum mounting box depth of 25mm. Screened parts need more room: the FP0160PC diplex outlet and screened modules such as the NETTVSBK need 35mm. For the FPF4GMW floor plate, the box depth depends on the euro modules fitted.

Which outlet suits a Sky dish with two feeds?

A quadplexed module, which gives SAT1 and SAT2 alongside TV and FM DAB. The NETQDWH, NETQDGY and NETQDBK are made for Sky and Sky+ applications, measure 50 x 50mm and are fully screened to EN 50083-2. They need a minimum mounting depth of 35mm and take cables with a 1mm conductor.

Can I put TV and satellite outlets into a modular plate?

Yes, modules such as the NETTVWH and NETSATGY are made for euro-module faceplates. The NETTVWH is a TV outlet module with a coaxial socket and a screw terminal on the PCB, and the NETSATGY is a 25 x 50mm F-type SAT module. The FPF4GMW floor plate takes four 25 x 50mm or two 50 x 50mm euro modules under a spring-loaded lid.

What cable do the screened modules take?

They take coax cable with a 1mm conductor. The NETTVSWH, for example, is fully screened to EN 50083-2 for low loss and minimal ingress, and needs a 35mm deep mounting box. Coax, satellite leads and F-type plugs are on the pages linked from this guide.
