Keypads & Readers

An access control keypad or reader is the part of a door people actually touch, and the choice is mostly about credential and mounting: PIN, card, fob or a combination, on a mullion, a single gang box or a vandal-resistant plate.

The range covers MIFARE 13.56MHz and proximity readers, keypad-and-reader combinations, slim mullion units for narrow frames and IK10 models for exposed doors, with Wiegand and RS-485 outputs so they pair with the controller already installed. Hikvision leads, with ACTpro and RGL alongside. Ingress rating, credential type and output are stated per product.

Readers report to a controller — see Smart Access Control for terminals and door controllers, and Door Locks for the maglocks and strikes they release. For entry with video see Door Entry & Intercom Systems.
