What it does

The DomeCam Mini HL (8 Mp/4 mm) is a wired AI-powered security IP camera with an 85° viewing angle. It has an 8 MP CMOS, 1/2.7" type sensor, a 4 mm lens and a maximum resolution of 8 MP (3840 × 2160) and a frame rate of up to 20 fps, with H.265 and H.264 video codecs.

Hybrid illumination combines IR LED up to 15 m and white LED up to 15 m. Intelligent lighting control automatically adjusts the intensity of IR and white LEDs in real time to prevent overexposure.

AI object detection recognises people, pets and vehicles, and the camera detects motion using software image frame analysis. The DORI distances are Detection: 117.5 m, Observation: 47 m, Recognition: 23.5 m, Identification: 11.6 m.

Where it is used

The camera is for outdoor and indoor use. It is rated IP66, IK08 and has an operating temperature range from −30 °C to +60 °C, with operating humidity up to 90%.

Installation notes

It is powered over PoE (802.3at/af), with PoE power consumption of maximum: up to 8.2 W and average: up to 7.7 W, or from a 12 V⎓ ± 20%, 1 А power supply unit, with 12 V DC power consumption of maximum: up to 7.0 W and average: up to 6.6 W.

It connects via 1 × RJ-45 self-adaptive Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and is conformant with ONVIF® Profile G and S.

Storage options are microSD (up to 256 GB, Class V30 or faster; the card is not included in the complete set) and Ajax NVR.

Day to day

Video travels over JetSparrow, a fast and encrypted peer-to-peer video protocol developed by Ajax Systems.

With visual verification of Ajax alarms, a scenario can be configured so that Ajax detectors trigger selected cameras to start recording, and the recorded event is immediately sent to the mobile or desktop monitoring app.

mTLS provides an encrypted connection for data protection, authentication is via Ajax Cloud, Secure Boot provides protection against firmware spoofing, and OTA signature verification secures automatic firmware updates.
