Ajax 107290.173.BL1 FireProtect 2 AC (Heat) Jeweller Heat Detector, Mains-Powered, Black
About this product
The Ajax FireProtect 2 AC (Heat) Jeweller (107290.173.BL1) is a wireless mains-powered fire detector with a heat sensor for Ajax security systems, in black. It raises a high temperature alarm at temperatures above 64 °C and a temperature spike alarm when the temperature rises more than 10 °C in 1 minute or less, and sounds its in-built siren.
Key features
- High temperature alarm at temperatures above 64 °C
- Temperature spike alarm when the temperature rises more than 10 °C in 1 minute or less
- Sensitive element to the requirements for Class A1R heat detectors (EN 54-5 and BS 5446-2)
- In-built siren: volume 85 dB at a distance of 3 meters
- Mains powered: 110–240 V~, 50/60 Hz, up to 2 W of mains power consumption
- Backup: 1 non-replaceable lithium battery CR-2/3AZ
- Jeweller radio signal range up to 1,700 m between the detector and a hub in an open space
- Interconnected fire alarms via primary and fallback interconnection
Frequently asked questions
At what temperature does the FireProtect 2 AC (Heat) Jeweller raise an alarm?
It raises a high temperature alarm at temperatures above 64 °C, and a temperature spike alarm when the temperature rises more than 10 °C in 1 minute or less.
Does the detector need mains power?
Yes. It runs on 110–240 V~, 50/60 Hz, with up to 2 W of mains power consumption. A non-replaceable lithium battery, CR-2/3AZ, lets it operate autonomously without the main power source.
Do other fire detectors sound when this one detects a fire?
Yes. Within 20 seconds of the alarm reaching the hub, the hub initiates an interconnected alarm. The detector also sends an alarm directly to other detectors, and all connected detectors activate the buzzer within a minute, even if connection with the hub is lost.
How loud is the in-built siren?
The in-built siren has a volume of 85 dB at a distance of 3 meters.
Can the detector be removed without disconnecting the mains cables?
Yes. The phase and neutral cables connect to the WAGO terminals on the SmartBracket mounting panel, and there is no need to disconnect the power cables to remove the detector from SmartBracket.
What do the LED colours mean?
Green is a power indication, yellow is a malfunction indication and red is a fire alarm indication.
