Overview

A door entry panel on a bare wall takes the full force of the weather. This Comelit housing surrounds the panel and adds a rainshield above it.

It suits installers fitting a Switch entrance panel where the wall cannot be cut for a flush box.

How it fits together

• Front panel: one Switch front panel with 1, 2, 3 or 4 buttons fits the main opening.
• Accessory column: a second space takes an accessory front panel 1 button column, for an extra module.
• Rainshield: the shield above the panel helps keep driving rain off the buttons and speaker.

Where to use it

AISI 316 is a stainless steel grade often chosen where corrosion resistance matters. IK08 is an impact rating; higher IK numbers withstand harder knocks.

As a rule, mount the panel where the camera, if fitted, sees faces rather than the sky.

Installing it

Allow a wall area of 397 mm by 155 mm, with the housing standing 85 mm proud. Bring the system cable in through the back before fixing.
