Where it goes

When someone presses the button at the door, this is what rings. It is the indoor answering unit, not the panel outside. It fixes to the surface of the wall.

Answering the door

A 7" colour TFT screen shows who is there. The audio is full duplex, so you and the caller can both talk at once rather than taking turns. Four buttons do the work, with dials for volume, brightness and contrast.

Wiring and how many

It wires on two cores. It runs at 24 V on the bus and will sit up to 100 m from the power supply. Up to 32 can share one system, each given its own address on the first five DIP switches.

The unit itself

The case is ABS and measures 152 × 215 × 18 mm, so at 18 mm deep it sits close to the wall. The APMONB is black and the APMONW white.
