Espire ES1RBRF Relay Base Powered by Mains Supply with Backup Battery & RF-Link Module

What it does

The ES1RBRF is a relay base powered by mains supply with backup battery. It switches 3rd party devices when an alarm activates, and it contains an RF-Link receiver that triggers the relay upon activation. The relay is volt free SPDT, with a maximum switchable load of 8 A and a maximum relay voltage of 250 V AC.

It has built-in RF-LINK at 868.3 MHz with a 100 m open field range, and it also supports wired interconnect, with a maximum interconnect wiring distance of 300 m. A maximum of 28 wired and RF-LINK interconnected devices are supported. It is compatible with any Espire hardwired interconnect supported alarms, and with RF-Link supported Espire products.

Its single LED shows green for power, blue for RF pairing and red for RF & low battery.

Power and backup

It runs from 230 V AC, 50 Hz, with a maximum power consumption of 3 W and a standby power consumption of 0.38 W. The battery backup is non-replaceable and rechargeable: battery type 3V lithium (x2), size VL2330.

If mains power is lost, the backup battery can power the relay base for up to 6 hours, and the relay can switch 10 times.

Installation notes

It mounts on a ceiling or wall and has multiple knockout entries; cable size is 0.75 - 2.5 mm². The white UL94-V0 rated UV stabilised ABS base measures ø142 x 36.5 mm and weighs 0.19 kg. Its operating temperature is 0 to +40 °C, with relative humidity resistance of 95% (non-condensing).
