Coverage

One camera covers a driveway or a shop floor without anyone panning it — the fixed 2.8 mm lens takes in 112.4° horizontally. At 8MP (3840 × 2160) there is enough detail to crop into the picture afterwards.

After dark

It sees in the dark two ways. Infrared reaches 30 m. There is also a white lamp with a 30 m range, which ESP describes as intelligently activated.

Recording and integration

It is not tied to ESP's own recorders — it is ONVIF compliant, so most other makes will take it too, and ESP's 24/7 NVR range runs to 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 channels. A microSD card of up to 128 GB goes in the camera itself, so it keeps its own copy.

Fitting

The camera measures 75 × 74 × 191 mm. If you want the cabling hidden behind it there is a matching deep base — the BBG1 in grey for the HC828FBG and the BBW1 in white for the HC828FBW.
