What it does

The DS-7716NI-M4 records up to 16-ch IP camera inputs at up to 32 MP resolution. The NVR supports up to 8-ch 32/24/16 MP IP video inputs, and all channels for less than 16 MP.

Incoming and outgoing bandwidth are each 256 Mbps, and decoding format is H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264. Synchronous playback covers 16-ch.

Decoding capability runs from 2-ch@32 MP (30 fps) to 16-ch@5 MP (30 fps), and the NVR is rated for up to 40 x 1080p@ 30fps decoding capacity.

Installation notes

This unit comes with 12TB of storage fitted. The recorder has 4 SATA interfaces with up to 16 TB capacity for each disk, plus 1 eSATA interface.

Cameras connect over the network through 2 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet interfaces; the camera access protocols are ONVIF(Version 2.5) and RTSP. The recorder has no PoE ports.

Power supply is 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz, with consumption ≤ 15 W (without HDD). The 19-inch rack-mounted 1.5U chassis measures 445 × 400 × 75 mm.

HDMI 1 supports up to 8K (7680 × 4320)/30Hz and HDMI 2 up to 4K (3840 × 2160)/60Hz; when HDMI 1 output resolution is 8K, the maximum HDMI 2 output resolution is 1080p. A VGA output gives 1920 × 1080/60Hz.

Where it is used

Working temperature is -10 °C to 55 °C (14 °F to 131 °F) with working humidity of 10% to 90%.

Day to day

The NVR has 16/9 alarm inputs/outputs and a controllable 12 VDC, 1 A power output for an external alarm device, turned on when the alarm output is triggered.

Up to 8-ch IP speakers can be connected, and two-way audio is 1-ch RCA. Live view and playback streams support AES128 encryption, and the NVR supports Secure Boot.
