Hikvision DS-A80636SI 36-Slot Single Controller Storage, 6U, 550 Access Channels

What it does

The DS-A80636SI is a 36-slot single controller storage unit. It is connectable to encoding devices (IPC/DVR//NVR) using standard stream media protocols such as RTSP and ONVIF, and third-party cameras can be accessed over ONVIF and RTSP.

For timed recording, video direct storage handles incoming 550-channel (bandwidth: 1100 Mbps), outgoing bandwidth of 110 Mbps and playback of 55-channel. For event recording, incoming is 200-channel (bandwidth: 400 Mbps).

Picture direct storage handles an incoming bandwidth of 1100 Mbps (275 images/s @ 500KB/image). Recording types include continuous, manual, main, sub and third stream, motion and sensor alarm recording.

Installation notes

The 6U chassis installs in a standard 19 inch rack, with the rail provided as accessory. It measures 447 × 262.1 × 787 mm and has a net weight of 38 kg.

Power is 100-240 VAC, 50/60Hz from 2 redundant power supplies. Power consumption is ≤ 710W working with all HDDs connected, ≤ 240W working without HDD and ≤ 800W rated.

The 36 HDD slots take SATA disks of 4 TB, 6 TB, 8 TB, 10 TB, 16 TB or 20 TB, with enterprise hard disk support and HDD hot-swapping supported. Networking is 4 × 2.5G Ethernet data interfaces and 1 × 1G Ethernet management interface, with optional port extension of 4 × GbE or 2 × GbE or 1 × GbE or 2 × 10GbE.

Where it is used

The working temperature is 5 °C to 40 °C and the working humidity is 20% to 80%RH (non-condensing/frozen).

Day to day

The unit is operated through a web interface, with a customised display of max 16-channel web live view and web playback of max 16-channel playback. It works with HCP and HCM VMS.

Anomaly alarms cover storage exception, network exception, power exception, temperature exception and fan malfunction, with alarm linkage by sound, notifying surveillance center, sending email and recording linkage.
