Cameras, storage and the 4G link

Eight cameras plug straight into the recorder's own network ports and take their power from it, so there is no separate switch or power supply to find room for — eight PoE ports, 80 Mbps in and 80 Mbps out. One SATA bay takes a disk of up to 8 TB. HDMI and VGA run at the same time, so a screen at the recorder and a screen elsewhere both stay live. The 4G modem lets it report from a site with no fixed line. Draws 10 W or less with the disk out and PoE off.
