What it does

The DS-7716NI-M4/16TB-T is a 16-ch 1.5U 8K NVR. It takes up to 16-ch IP camera inputs at up to 32 MP resolution; the NVR supports up to 8-ch 32/24/16 MP IP video inputs, and all channels for less than 16 MP.

It decodes H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 with a decoding capability of 2-ch@32 MP (30 fps), 4-ch@16MP (30 fps), 10-ch@8 MP (30 fps) or 16-ch@5 MP (30 fps), and plays back 16-ch synchronously.

HDMI1 and VGA give simultaneous output, while HDMI2 is an independent output. HDMI 1 reaches 8K (7680 × 4320)/30Hz and HDMI 2 reaches 4K (3840 × 2160)/60Hz; when HDMI 1 output resolution is 8K, the maximum HDMI 2 output resolution is 1080p.

Installation notes

The recorder runs from 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz, with consumption of ≤ 15 W (without HDD). It is a 19-inch rack-mounted 1.5U chassis measuring 445 × 400 × 75 mm (W × D × H).

Storage connects to 4 SATA interfaces with up to 16 TB capacity for each disk, plus 1 eSATA interface. This model is supplied with 16TB of storage.

Network connection is through 2 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet interfaces, and cameras are accessed over ONVIF(Version 2.5) or RTSP. It also has 16/9 alarm in/out, 2 RS-485 (half-duplex) and 1 RS-232.

Where it is used

The working temperature is -10 °C to 55 °C (14 °F to 131 °F), with working humidity of 10% to 90%.

Day to day

Up to 128 remote connections are supported, and live view & playback stream encryption uses AES128. Two-way audio is 1-ch, RCA, using the audio input.
