What it does

The iDS-2CD5387G2/V-XS is an 8MP DeepinViewX fixed lens turret camera for perimeter protection. A dedicated large scale AI model for perimeter protection is stated to reduce false alarms by 90% compared to conventional AI cameras.

It supports simultaneous detection and capture of human body, face and vehicle, and face capture detects up to 60 faces simultaneously. Smart events include scene change, audio exception, defocus, unattended baggage, object removal, loitering, people gathering, fast moving and parking detection.

Powered by the Guanlan large-scale model, AI Encoding reduces storage usage by 50% while keeping image quality of key targets like human and vehicles. H.265+ compression further saves bandwidth and storage.

Where it is used

The camera is built for perimeter protection and is water and dust resistant (IP67).

With the 2.8 mm lens, DORI distances are Detect 89.2 m, Observe 35.4 m, Recognize 17.8 m and Identify 8.9 m; the DORI values are calculated using pixel densities for different use cases as recommended by the EN 62676-4 standard.

Installation notes

The turret adjusts through pan 0° to 355°, tilt 0° to 65° and rotate 0° to 360°. It connects through 1 RJ45 10 M/100 M self-adaptive Ethernet port.

Interfaces include alarm 1 input, 1 output (max. 24 VDC/24 VAC, 1 A), 1 RS-485 (half duplex) and a 12 VDC, max. 100 mA power output, for which the external extension cord should be less than 10 meters.

Recording goes to a built-in memory card slot supporting microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC cards up to 1 TB, or to NAS (NFS, SMB/CIFS) with Auto Network Replenishment (ANR). The API covers Open Network Video Interface (Profile S, Profile G, Profile T), ISAPI, SDK and ISUP.

Day to day

The camera works with the iVMS-4200 and Hik-Connect clients, supports up to 20 channels of simultaneous live view, and up to 32 users across 3 user levels: administrator, operator and user.

It has 2 built-in microphones and 1 built-in speaker. Event linkage can upload to FTP/NAS/memory card, notify a surveillance center, send email, trigger alarm output, recording or capture, and give an audible warning.
