What it does

The DS-7608NXI-K2/8P(E) is an 8-ch PoE 1U K Series AcuSense 4K NVR. It takes up to 8-ch IP camera inputs, plug & play with 8 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) interfaces, and supports automatic cameras connection and configuration.

Perimeter protection by the NVR uses video analysis for human and vehicle recognition to reduce false alarm, on up to 4 MP: 2-ch, or 5 MP to 8 MP: 1-ch. Motion detection 2.0 by the NVR covers all channels up to 4 MP, or up to 8 MP when enhanced SVC mode is enabled.

Recording resolution reaches 16 MP on channel 1 only.

Installation notes

The 8 PoE interfaces are RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet, to IEEE 802.3af/at, with PoE power of ≤ 80W. The network interface is 1 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet interface.

Power supply is 48 VDC, 2.5 A, with consumption of ≤ 15 W (without HDD). Storage connects through 2 SATA interfaces with up to 16 TB capacity for each HDD.

The NVR measures 384 mm × 317 mm × 52 mm and works from -10 °C to 55 °C (14 °F to 131 °F) at 10% to 90% humidity.

Day to day

AcuSearch technology gives efficient playback, and AcuSearch by camera works on all channels where the camera has the AcuSearch function enabled.

Facial detection and analytics include face picture comparison on 8-ch, with up to 16 face picture libraries and up to 50,000 face pictures in total. Synchronous playback covers 8-ch, and up to 4-ch IP speakers can be connected.
