The i-PRO WV-S15700-V2LN is a 4K outdoor bullet network camera from the S-series, built around an on-board AI engine and a 4.3-8.6 mm motorised varifocal lens.

This is the top of i-PRO's S-series bullet range. It has a 1/1.8-type CMOS sensor delivering 3840 x 2160, and a motorised zoom and focus lens that is set remotely rather than by hand at the pole. An Ambarella CV22 system-on-chip runs i-PRO's AI analytics on the camera itself rather than on a server.

Super Dynamic gives up to 132 dB of dynamic range and colour night vision works down to 0.04 lx before the infrared comes on. The body is aluminium die cast in i-PRO white, with a polycarbonate front panel carrying i-PRO's ClearSight coating. It is sealed to IP66 and NEMA 4X, rated IK10 for impact and specified from -40 °C to +60 °C, with a heater and moisture-absorption anti-condensation system.

Security is built into the hardware: an NXP EdgeLock SE050F secure element, a GlobalSign device certificate pre-installed at the factory, signed firmware and NDAA compliance.

• Motorised varifocal lens: 4.3-8.6 mm with 2.0x optical zoom, motorised zoom and motorised focus, auto focus, and a horizontal field of view from 104° at wide to 53° at telephoto.
• Super Dynamic to 132 dB: Maximum 132 dB with Super Dynamic on at level 30 or above at 15 fps, alongside adaptive black stretch, fog compensation and BLC or HLC.
• Colour night vision and 70 m of infrared: Colour down to 0.04 lx, and 0 lx in black and white with the built-in IR LED. The LED reaches a maximum irradiation distance of 70 m at 30 IRE.
• On-board AI engine: An Ambarella CV22 runs AI video motion detection, AI privacy guard, AI face, people, vehicle, occupancy and scene change detection, plus AI sound classification for gunshot, yell, vehicle horn and glass break.
• Hardware-rooted security: A FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant NXP EdgeLock SE050F secure element, a pre-installed GlobalSign device certificate, IEEE 802.1X, brute-force protection, alteration detection and signed firmware. The camera is NDAA compliant.
• Sealed, heated and impact-rated: IP66 to IEC 60529, Type 4X to UL50E and NEMA 4X, IK10 impact and wind resistance to 40 m/s. The operating range is -40 °C to +60 °C, with an anti-condensation system of Temish element, heater and moisture-absorption gel.
• ClearSight coating: The clear polycarbonate front panel carries i-PRO's ClearSight hydrophilic coating, which is specified on this model to shed water from the lens window.
• PoE or 12 V DC: IEEE 802.3af Class 0 at 48 V DC, 240 mA and about 11.5 W, or 12 V DC at 1.0 A and about 12.0 W.
• Storage and I/O: microSDXC recording up to 512 GB with backup on network failure, three alarm terminals, 3.5 mm audio input and output, and ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T.

Use cases

This is a long-range perimeter and approach camera rather than a general-purpose one, and i-PRO's own DORI figures show why. At the wide end it detects to 60 m, observes to 24 m, recognises to 12 m and identifies to 6 m. At full telephoto those become 154 m, 61.6 m, 30.8 m and 15.4 m.

That makes it a natural fit for site boundaries, yards, car parks, loading bays, substations, forecourts and the long approach roads where a fixed-lens camera forces a compromise between coverage and detail. Because the zoom and focus are motorised, the view is set from the desk during commissioning and can be changed later without another visit to the pole, which matters on high mounts and cherry-picker jobs. The AI analytics run on the camera.

People and vehicle detection, occupancy counting and sound classification for glass break or a raised voice all work without a separate analytics server, and only the events travel across the network. The wide temperature range, the heater and moisture-absorption anti-condensation system, the NEMA 4X sealing and the ClearSight coating are aimed squarely at cameras that live outdoors all year. One thing to check before specifying: heavy salt damage resistance is a property of the WV-S15700-V2LK, not of this model, so a genuinely coastal position needs that part number instead.
