What this enclosure does

An I/O board adds inputs and outputs to a fire alarm panel, so the panel can drive or read other equipment. This box gives those boards a home of their own.

It is an enclosure with an equipment chassis. You choose the boards, which is how it becomes a customised I/O panel.

Choosing the boards

• Inputs and outputs: the K560 is a 16 channel input/output board.
• Relays: the K547 is an 8 way relay extender board.
• Sounders: the K546 is a 6 way sounder extender board.
• Conventional zones: the K545 is a 4 way conventional detection zone module.

What the figures mean in practice

There is room for 3 x I/O boards without PSU, so the third board position depends on leaving the power supply out. A charger version gives up one position.

If you expect to add a fourth board later, plan a second enclosure now.

Planning your system

This version has no charger or power supply. Confirm the power and panel connection in each board's own instructions before ordering.

If the box needs its own power, the K16250M2 comes with a 2.5A charger and the K16400M2 with a 5.25A charger.

Check that your main control panel takes Syncro I/O modules. Changes to a fire alarm system should be designed and commissioned by a competent person.
