Zones and detection

The MAGDUO2B is a 2 zone 2-wire fire alarm panel. Each zone takes up to 32 devices (dependent on device loading units, 160 per zone), sounders and detectors can be mixed on zones, and the maximum cable length per zone is 500 m.

It has active end of line monitoring and head removal, can tell smoke detector, heat detector and manual call point alarms apart, and has an alarm confirmation feature, an event log storing up to 500 events, 3 enhanced test modes, day/night detection mode per zone and delay programming options.

Inputs and outputs

It has 2 programmable inputs (3.3 Volts @ 10mA, unmonitored) and 2 output zones. Its 2 monitored outputs are rated at 28V DC @ 250mA each, its 2 unmonitored outputs (fire & fault) at 30V DC @ 1A each, and its auxiliary output is 24V DC @ 250mA.

Power and installation

It takes a 230 V AC supply (nominal 700mA); its operating voltage is 21 - 31 V DC (nominal 24 V DC) and its PSU output is 2.1 A (4 hour continuous). Its standby supply is 2 x 12V 3.2 Ah SLA batteries, sold separately. There is an optional extended battery box with capacity for 2 x 12V 7.0Ah batteries.

The black V0 rated ABS enclosure measures 331 x 331 x 99 mm and weighs 2.25 kg. It is surface mounted and rated IP30, and it takes cable up to 1.5 mm² (2 core screened fire rated cable). Its operating temperature is +5 to +40 °C, and it carries the EN54-2 and EN54-4 marks.
