Nitek ET1551U-W1 is an extender transmission device.

The ET1551UW Outdoor IP Video Network Extender, Transmitter Unit is another component of the Nitek cutting edge Etherstretch line. The System includes a Transmitter and a NEMA 4X /IP 66 rated enclosure to house the Transmitter unit. The ET1551UW, when connected to an ER1551U or ER1651U Receiver unit can quickly turn any ordinary Single Twisted Pair wire into a high speed network communication for distances up to 300m (1.000').

Nitek Etherstretch ET1551UW Transmitter extends network communications to overcome cable distance limitations to devices in locations traditional networking does not allow. The ET1551U is ideal for retrofitting existing installations. The ET1551U Transmitter requires very little installation time and absolutely no set up or configuration.

The ET1551U is transparent to the network requiring no IP or MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the network ports of the Transmitter and Receiver along with existing cabling and the system begins communicating. The Receiver ER1551U is capable of providing power for the ET1551U Transmitter, without the need for an external power supply.

The ET1551U can also be powered directly to provide IEEEE 802.3at (25.5W) to the devices (PS48 sold seperately). LED indicators show the status and speed of network communications.
