About this product

Please note: this is a non-returnable item (excluding faulty goods)

Nitek VB37-F is a video balun transceiver.

The VB37F is a passive UTP high noise immunity video balun for twisted pair transmission of CCTV video. The VB37F is a "heavy duty" design with two screw terminals for UTP connection and a female BNC for coax connection. This passive UTP video balun operates with other passive video baluns, transceivers or active receivers.

The VB37 series is available in the F model (female BNC) and the M model (male BNC). The VB37F UTP transceiver provides a low cost means of sending live video over unshielded twisted pair, point-to-point wiring for distances of up to 750' (225m) with other CCTV balun transceivers, up to 1,500' (450m) with the TR515 single channel receiver and model 51 series hubs, and up to 3,000' (900m) with the TR560 single channel receiver and model 56 Series hubs. The VB37F is compatible with all the "up-the-coax" control systems.

A basic system uses (2) video balun transceivers, one at each end of a twisted pair of wires. These units are intended for use over existing in-house telephone wiring, Category 5 wiring or other twisted pair cable runs to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to coax. The VB37 series units are designed to provide superior immunity from noise and interference even when running next to line power.

The VbB7F alaso provides a convenient mounting tab for installation. The VB37F is a UTP transceiver that provides another Security Transmission Solution from Nitek.

Nitek VB37-F video balun transceiver

Nitek VB37-F video balun transceiver, Black

Who this is for

For the installer — this is the video balun transceiver supplied under Nitek part number VB37-F. Specify it by that part number.

The entries in the specification table are the ones held against this part number.

In plain English: this is a video balun transceiver made by Nitek. The part number VB37-F is the manufacturer's own code for this exact version of it.

Similar-looking items in the same family often differ only by a suffix on that code. If you are replacing something, match the code rather than the picture.

Buying this in the UK

We are a UK supplier and this video balun transceiver is sold and shipped from the UK. Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

This item is non-returnable, excluding faulty goods. That restriction comes from the manufacturer's own terms for this line.

We do not quote a warranty term for this part. Every supplier-stated term we have checked against the manufacturer's own document has turned out to be wrong, so we would rather say nothing than say something we cannot stand behind.

Ask us and we will check it for you. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Stock on this line moves, and lead times move with it. Ask us for the current position before you commit to a date on site.

Questions we get asked

Is this the exact video balun transceiver I have been quoted? Check the manufacturer part number VB37-F against your quote. That code is the only reliable identity for this item.

Is there a datasheet? Not on this listing.

Can you check compatibility for us? We do not state compatibility that the record does not carry.

Why does the listing not answer every question? Because the specification held against VB37-F answers some questions and not others. We would rather leave a gap visible than fill it with something we cannot show you.

What if I order the wrong version? Tell us the installation you are matching and we will work back to the part number with you. That is a faster conversation than a return.

Do you hold this in stock? Availability on this line changes through the week, so the honest answer is to ask us on the day. We will give you the current position rather than a general one.
