What it does

The CHPRSTATDPRFS pairs a wireless digital programmable thermostat transmitter with a wireless thermostat receiver. They communicate wirelessly at 868 MHz, with a range of 80 m in open field and 30 m indoors. The class description of both parts is TPI room thermostat, for use with ON/OFF heaters, value 2%, and both are EE class ErP Class IV; TPI (time proportional & integral) control is for heating efficiency.

The thermostat

The thermostat is 24 hour or 7 day programmable, with 6 time/temperature events per day, 3 modes (permanent, timed and temporary override), a pre-programmed schedule and automatic summer/winter time change. Its set temperature range is 5 to 35 °C, its temperature display range 0 to 50 °C and its temperature swing adjustment 0.5 and 1 °C; optimisation is optimum start/delay start and optimum stop for additional efficiency, and frost protection is at 5°C.

It is battery powered from 4 x AA batteries (supplied), with a battery low indicator, and shows call for heat on an LCD display. It has an electronic sensor for accurate and responsive performance, mounts on the surface or free standing, and measures 140 x 88.6 x 32.1 mm (without back box).

The receiver

The receiver runs on 230 V AC at 50 Hz and its network connection type is radio frequency. Its output relay rating is 16A contact rating (volt free), and it is IEC protection Class II. It mounts on the surface or flush (surface backbox included), with a flush mounting back box depth of 25 mm, and measures 88 x 88 x 39.4 mm.

Both parts are silver ABS, rated IP30, with an operating temperature of 0 to +50 °C.
