What it does

The CHPRSTATDRFS pairs a wireless thermostat transmitter with a wireless thermostat receiver. They communicate wirelessly at 433 MHz, with a range of 80 m in open field and 30 m indoors. The class description of both parts is TPI room thermostat, for use with ON/OFF heaters, value 2%, and both are EE class ErP Class IV. The product's temperature swing adjustment is 0.5°C and 1°C.

The thermostat

The thermostat has a large dial with digital display, and call for heat is indicated on the digital display. Its modes are comfort/economy or ON/OFF. Its set temperature range is 5 to 30 °C and its temperature display range 3 to 51 °C, frost protection is at 5°C, and TPI (time proportional & integral) control is for heating efficiency.

It is battery powered from 2 x AA batteries (supplied), with a battery low indicator. It has an electronic sensor for accurate and responsive performance and measures 88 x 88 x 39.4 mm (without back box).

The receiver

The receiver runs on 230 V AC at 50 Hz, takes 0.5- 1.5 mm² (flex) or 0.5- 2.5 mm² (rigid) cable, and its network connection type is radio frequency. Its output relay rating is 16A contact rating (volt free), and it is IEC protection Class II. It measures 86 x 88 x 38 mm (without back box), with a flush mounting back box depth of 25 mm.

Both parts are silver ABS, mount on the surface or flush (surface backbox included), and are rated IP30, with an operating temperature of 0 to +50 °C.
