Who this is for

For the installer. One cable, one IP address block, two channels — it presents as a dual-channel device, so check your recorder licences and channel count before you quote it, since it will consume two. 12 VDC at 3.33 A or straight 802.3at PoE+, which is generous for a camera with this much in it. The bullet channel's tilt is set mechanically at install, 9° to 21°, and it is not remotely adjustable afterwards — get it right on the ladder. DS-1618ZJ bracket is included. A black-bodied variant exists if the white one is too conspicuous.

For the end user. The everyday failure of a normal PTZ is that when the operator zooms in on one thing, everything else stops being recorded. This camera does not have that problem: the fixed wide channel keeps filming the whole scene at 4 MP while the zoom channel goes and gets the face or the plate. When you review an incident you have both — the context and the detail — from a single unit on a single pole. The wide channel is ColorVu with its own white light, so it stays in full colour at night rather than dropping to monochrome, while the zoom channel uses infrared for distance.

Buying this in the UK

Two things worth knowing before you specify it. The white light on the bullet channel is a continuous or triggered visible light — on a boundary facing homes it can attract complaints in a way infrared never does, so aim it and set its mode with the neighbours in mind. And because this counts as two channels, factor that into VMS or NVR licensing, where per-channel costs can quietly exceed the difference between this and two separate cameras.
