TOA IP-A1AF IP Audio Interface

TOA IP-A1AF IP Audio Interface, 15 W (PoE+) / 8 W (PoE) Amplifier, SIP & Multicast

What it does

The IP-A1AF connects analogue audio equipment to an IP network. It can integrate analogue receiving devices, such as conventional low impedance speakers or local PA systems, so that low impedance speakers like TOA's F-series can be turned into IP speakers.

PA or BGM systems without a SIP or ONVIF interface can be integrated into network solutions. The interface can also be addressed via multicast, enabling audio paging into groups or larger zones of IP audio devices simultaneously.

Where it is used

TOA gives two application examples: event rooms with high power analogue PA systems can be integrated into VMS or SIP telephone systems, and retail chains with existing local PA/BGM systems can be integrated into IP solutions.

The operating temperature is −30 °C to +55 °C.

Installation notes

The unit is powered by PoE+ or PoE, and a single standard network cable provides both power and connectivity via its 1x 100BASE-TX (RJ45) data interface. The built-in amplifier delivers 15 W on PoE+ and 8 W on PoE; power consumption is 22 W (PoE+, rated output).

Audio and control wiring is on terminal blocks: 1x line/mic input (balanced, phantom power), 1x line output (balanced), 2x no-voltage make contact control inputs and 1x open collector control output.

Day to day

Besides receiving network audio, the IP-A1AF can broadcast locally from internal audio files or a local audio source. It stores up to 20 files (total 80 MB, WAV/ MP3) and supports playback programs for repeat, duration and weekly timer.
