Urmet 1148/46 access control keypad

What it is

The 1148/46 is Urmet's Sinthesi S2 coded access keypad — in its installation manual, a door release digital keypad with 2 outputs — for use in the Sinthesi modular range of panels. It replaces 1105/3 & 1105/2.

It manages two entrances with two relay door lock contacts, which may be operated independently using either of the programmed codes, and it stores up to 22 access codes. Its 12 back-lit LED buttons have the numbers 0 to 9 in green. It can be connected to NO buttons (hall button).

Relays and codes

Each relay can be programmed for monostable or toggle operation, with an activation time from 1 second to 99 seconds, or 200ms for toggle operation. By default both relays are monostable with an activation time of 200 ms, and the timeslot terminal is off.

Codes are stored in memory locations 01 to 22, and each activation code is from 3 to 8 digits. With the timeslot function enabled, a timer (not included) may be used to program the periods of the day when the relays can be activated simply by pressing one keypad button.

Electrical

Power voltage is 12 Vac or Vdc ± 10%. Maximum draw is 250 mA @ 12 Vac or 150 mA @ 12 Vdc, and maximum stand-by consumption is 100 mA @ 12 Vac or 50 mA @ 12 Vdc. The maximum switchable relay load is 12 Vac / 24 Vdc 5A.

Programming

The master (Engineer's) password is set by pressing the programming switch next to the terminal board three times in 6 seconds and entering a code from 3 to 8 digits. There are no default codes in the 1148/46 keypad, and Urmet do not have any record of the Engineer's Password; the door open code can be from 3 to 8 digits.

To reset, disconnect power, hold the programming switch next to the terminal board pressed, power the device while the switch is pressed and release it after about 5 seconds: all the previously programmed codes, times and passwords are deleted.
