WEC FMT6 Fixed Tubular CCTV Column Section, 6m (Nominal), Suits FM4H Root

What it does

The FMT6 is the 6mtr tubular section in WEC's Fixed Tubular Columns (FMT) range, made to suit an FM4H root.

WEC describes the FMT range as a solution for achieving desired camera height, with stability characteristics for minimum camera movement.

Where it is used

WEC states that the FMT range is suitable for public access areas, and that its hot dipped galvanised finish is for weather protection and low maintenance requirements.

Installation notes

The FMT range uses a flange mounted type FM root, and the FMT6 suits an FM4H root. The range has a totally concealed cable management facility, with an inspection / jointing aperture with backboards as a standard feature.

In WEC's installation method, the four root studs protrude 60-70mm above the concrete foundation, the concrete is a mix of C35 to table 6 BS 8110, and it is left to cure for a minimum of 72 hours prior to attempting to erect the column. The nuts are torqued to 230-270 Nm.

If routing cable via the interior of the column, fit a cable duct: a plastic pipe of approximately 100mm outside diameter is recommended. Once the column is fitted, protect the studs with a suitable protective coating such as Denzo tape or similar.

The FMT range has a standard pan and tilt fixing of 101.6 PCD and is compatible with WEC adaptors, accessories and anti climbs.
