HiLook CCTV Cameras

HiLook CCTV cameras here include turret, bullet, panoramic and PTZ cameras in two families: Turbo HD analogue cameras with switchable TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS output for DVRs, and IP network cameras for NVRs. Examples include the THC-T229-MS 2MP ColorVu turret, the IPC-T250H-MU 5MP IP turret, the IPC-B460HAD-LUF/SL panoramic bullet and the PTZ-N2404I-DE3(F) PTZ dome. Resolutions run from 2MP to 8MP.

Choosing HiLook CCTV Cameras

Settle the cabling first, because it decides the camera family: coax to a DVR takes a Turbo HD camera, and network cable to an NVR takes an IP camera.

Turbo HD analogue cameras

The THC models here switch between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS output for broad DVR compatibility. Resolution runs from the 2MP THC-T120-MS to the 8MP (4K) THC-T180-M, and the THC-T120-MS, THC-T250-MS and THC-T259-MS have a built-in microphone for audio over coax. ColorVu models such as the THC-T229-MS use an F1.0 lens and a white light for colour images at night, reaching 40 m on the THC-T229-MS and THC-T259-MS. IR models such as the THC-T220-MS reach about 40 m at night with Smart IR, and the THC-T250-MS and THC-T180-M have IP67 metal housings.

IP cameras

IP models such as the IPC-T250H-MU and IPC-B140HA take PoE (802.3af) or 12 V DC power, so one network cable can carry power and video. ColorVu models with Smart Hybrid Light, such as the IPC-T249HA-LU 4MP turret, combine white light and IR for colour at night. Live Guard models such as the IPC-T280HA-LUF/SL 8MP turret and the IPC-B180HA-LUF/SL 8MP bullet add a flashing light, two-way audio and human and vehicle classification.

Panoramic and PTZ cameras

Dual-lens stitched cameras give one panoramic view of about 180°: the IPC-B460HAD-LUF/SL and IPC-B469HAD-LUF/SL are 6MP bullets, the IPC-T260HAD-LUF/SL a 6MP turret and the IPC-T280HAD-LUF/SL (2mm) an 8MP turret. The PTZ-N2404I-DE3(F) is a 4MP PTZ dome with a 2.8–12 mm motorised lens, 4× optical zoom, IP66 and IK10, and the PTZ-N2D400M-DE/14 TandemVu combines a wide-view 4MP channel with a 4MP PTZ channel and auto-tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose a HiLook Turbo HD or an IP camera?

Choose Turbo HD for coax cabling to a DVR and IP for network cabling to an NVR. The THC Turbo HD cameras here switch between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS output, and the THC-B159-MS suits upgrading an existing analogue or TurboHD system without changing the cabling. IP models such as the IPC-T250H-MU support PoE, so installation needs a single network cable.

What is HiLook ColorVu?

ColorVu is colour night imaging from a bright aperture and a built-in white light. The THC-T259-MS pairs a large-aperture F1.0 sensor with a built-in white LED for full-colour images at night, up to 40 m. IP ColorVu models such as the IPC-T249HA-LU use Smart Hybrid Light, which combines white light and IR.

What is a panoramic dual-lens camera?

It is a camera whose two lenses are stitched into one panoramic view of about 180°, so a single camera covers a wide area. The IPC-B469HAD-LUF/SL and IPC-B460HAD-LUF/SL are 6MP stitched bullets, and the IPC-T280HAD-LUF/SL (2mm) is an 8MP stitched turret; the three have Smart Hybrid Light and two-way audio.

Does HiLook make a PTZ camera?

Yes, the PTZ-N2404I-DE3(F) is a 4MP outdoor PTZ dome with a 2.8–12 mm motorised lens giving 4× optical zoom, up to 20 m of IR, IP66 and IK10. The PTZ-N2D400M-DE/14 TandemVu pairs a wide-view 4MP channel with a 4MP PTZ channel, adds human detection with auto-tracking and takes PoE (IEEE 802.3at).
