Smoke Alarms & Detectors

A smoke alarm is the one product in a building that has to work on a night nobody is awake, which is why sealed 10-year cells and mains power with battery backup have replaced the annual battery change.

The range covers optical alarms for general use, multisensor heads that combine optical and heat to cut cooking false alarms, heat detectors for kitchens and garages, and addressable detectors for panel-connected systems. Optical heads are photoelectric. Aico leads the domestic side with the Ei3000 baseplate shared across smoke, heat and CO heads, sealed 10-year lithium cells, and the Ei1000G SmartLINK gateway for remote monitoring of RF alarms; ESP, Espire, Ajax and C-Tec supply the wireless, module and panel ends. Power, sensor type and interlink method are stated per product.

For wireless interlinked systems see Interlinked Smoke Alarms, for kitchens Heat Alarms, and for carbon monoxide Carbon Monoxide Detectors.
